15th Anniversary Commemoration of Armenia's Independence at the House of Lords

Arman Kirakossian (Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia) was the keynote speaker at the 15th Anniversary Commemoration of Armenia's Independence held at House of Lords, on 5 December 2006. The commemoration included distinguished guests including Armenia's ambassador to the UK Dr. Vahe Gabrielyan, former Prime Minister of Armenia Dr. Armen Sarkissian, Lord Averbury, various MPs and diplomats, the Mayor of LB of Ealing, Cllr. Diana Pagan, and representatives of Armenian organisations. The event was chaired by the Baroness Cox of Queensbury and organised by the British-Armenian All-Party Parliamentary Group. The event was also an opportunity for Dr. Kirakossian to present copies of his seminal work, British Diplomacy and the Armenian Question from 1830 to 1914 (published by the Gomidas Institute, 2003) to the Library of the House of Commons and the British-Armenian All-Party Parliamentary Group.
